Assume leadership role in all aspects of developing strategic direction for the company for both Ethical and Generic customers (i.e. coordination with local field marketing, sales, R&D as well as Product Marketing). Primary objective is to increase our client’s revenue and market share in the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities will include:
• Lead a team to develop strategies to address trends in the pharmaceutical industry
• Work cross functionally to develop strategy to increase revenue and market share.
• Work with local field marketing and sales teams on tactical implementation
• Work with R&D and Product Management to develop innovative “Total Solutions†that meet customer business needs (solutions to include instrumentation (LC and MS), software, consumables and services).
• Attend and participate in regional, national and global conferences and trade shows as necessary.
• Development of materials for sales teams to use as well as sales training materials.
• Develop collaboration with individuals that are leaders in this field Minimum requirements
• In-Depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry (ethical, generic and CR(M)O’s).
• In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements within the pharmaceutical market
• Strong interpersonal management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong background and an understanding of analytical instrumentation, software and services to gain rapid credibility with clients.
• Excellent PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Project
• Willing and able to handle a travel schedule of 25-30%.
• MS or PhD scientific filed with 5-7 years experience within or serving the pharmaceutical industry required (MBA a plus).
